Innovation workshops & innovation management
The Consulter Netz Göttingen e. V. (CONNEG e. V.) and we, the eResult GmbH (Göttingen), offer this product which is arranged as a multi-day workshop combined with process collateral consulting and research. The product INNOSTEPS was developed by this network and functions as a concept for innovation workshops and innovation management. It has proved oneself in several projects (for example for the company neckermann.de).
The idea of INNOSTEPS is that companies often do not have time to occupy with an effective innovation management. Simultaneously innovations are essential for success. Key words are: web 2.0, social commerce, mobile internet, location based services, etc..
Central part of the product INNOSTEPS is an integrated consideration of the whole innovation process. We begin with an innovation workshop. Within this workshop gaining a variety of ideas is in the fore.
INNOSTEPS supports the innovation process employing three product modules:
- Creation (exploration of ideas):By a coordinated mixture of new and popular creativity methods a lot a ideas are gained within little time. Many more than in the usual procedures. First of all the so-called dialogue method sets trust into the attendees of the innovation workshop. Impulses, collages, field papers and trends broaden the attendees’ minds. By a proved method mixture new ideas are gained and old suggestions are reanimated. About 1 000 ideas are possible in an intensive creation phase e. g. a project that considers the field “Future of online shopping” has already been realised.
- Projects (concretization of ideas and creation of project layouts): During the project phase first drafts for a innovation roadmap are created due to a variety of ideas during the creation phase. The focus is based on the application of new and popular methods like the portfolio and matrix method. The single project steps are drafted considering the latest findings of project management. Thereby we use methods from bar charts to cost-benefit-analyses. Results from this phase: at an abundance of ideas project drafts are described in detail and onwards concreted.
- Evaluation: NBesides the internal rating of the “best” ideas and projects we additionally offer a potential analysis from your point of view, the customers’ point of view and the target-groups’ point of view. Within the scope of panel-based target-group surveys or focus groups the project drafts/ideas are presented, described and rated on several dimensions. One estimates whether the ideas will show any behaviour effects in your target-groups (for example changing the usage behaviour of a website, changes in purchase behaviour) and whether these ideas/project drafts can be optimised and directed to your customers’ and target-groups’ needs.
The project modules – creation, projects and evaluation – can be constructed against each other within a comprehensive package or they can be apartly implemented. Creation and projects generally consist of 2-3 workshop units or days and can be implemented straight or temporal shifted. The phase of the idea rating takes place by innovative terms of market-research.
The initial point of INNOSTEP is a kick-off workshop. Within this workshop your current problems and questions are concreted. Simultaneously we show you critical factors of success of an innovation process. If possible, we remedy the disturbing factors before the start takes place of the innovation workshop. By this a successful flow of the idea implementation is not prevented.
While implementing the INNOSTEPS method generally two experienced consulters/trainers and a research consultant is involved who introduce different contentual and methodical core themes into the innovation process. The innovation process experiences escort from different angles from the beginning. One consulter focuses stronger on the technical aspects of the innovation process, the second consulter focuses on the methodic-didactic aspects. The research consultant brings in the necessary market-research knowledge to rate the ideas from the customers’ and target-groups’ point of view.
Besides the implementation and planning of innovation workshops we would like to support you during the idea implementation and the innovation management. For this we have developed the project module “Works”. Thereby best ideas of customers’ view get a face and become implemented. It does not matter in what technical or organisational frame of the company the innovation takes place. A competent eResult or CONNEG-consulter is available for the support.
